Biography

Ruisheng is an Assistant Professor in medical image analysis at TU Eindhoven (TU/e). He is also the organizing chair of the SWITCH workshop. He was previously a doctoral researcher at BIGR, under the guidance of Dr. Theo van Walsum, Prof. Wiro Niessen, Prof. Aad van der Lugt, and Prof. Danny Ruijters (Philips & TU/e). During his time at Erasmus MC, he primarily contributed to the Q-Maestro project. His PhD research focused on innovative AI-based image/video analysis methods and clinical applications in minimally invasive endovascular treatments of acute ischemic stroke. Earlier, he completed his Masters from TU Munich, and gained industrial experience as a software engineer at ASML and a research scientist at Philips Research.

His current research focuses on trustworthy AI-based methods and applications in the field of neurovascular image analysis and image-guided interventions. If you are interested in Ruisheng’s work or have questions about potential collaborations, feel free to reach out for a discussion.
